25. Do not follow the whims of your heart or what your eyes see

The 25^th commandment of Mosaic Law is to not follow the whims of your heart or what your eyes see

Numbers 15:39

When you use these tassels, let the sight of them remind you to keep all the commandments of the LORD, without going wantonly astray after the desires of your hearts and eyes.

(Tassels, or tzitzit (fringe), were attached to the sleeves of all pious Jews as a reminder to be righteous and to follow the Law. Jesus also followed the custom as evidenced by Matthew 9:20-21 and Mark 6:56.)

But I say to you, everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away.
